Pipe Factory Remains Next To Marshall Station

November 20, 2019 by Jade Craven

I found pieces of concrete recently when visiting Marshall Train Station.

According to the Victorian Heritage Database:

Site is the location of the pipe-making factory associated with the construction of the Ovoid Sewer and Barwon River Aqueduct. Factory was torn down in 1915; cement structures are the remnants of this factory. Railway reserve was used to dry newly moulded pipes.
