The Lord Nelson Hotel Is Undergoing Renovations

I was walking past the Lord Nelson hotel recently when I noticed that the windows were covered by black plastic. I returned in September and saw that construction had begun on an extension. In November, the building had been painted white and it look like it was going to be opening soon.

It is now known as the Malt Shovel Taphouse. The website says that it will be focusing more on the craft beer experience. I’m looking forward to it opening.
