Yesterday, The Hue And Cry Collective held their official opening night. The collective is a new art initiative based in Central Geelong.
According to their website,
The Hue and Collective is a cutting edge gallery in the heart of the Geelong CBD, connected to a community of artists, poets and makers in residence. Co-founded by a group of Geelong creatives, the gallery strives to bring pioneering, emerging and high-quality art to their city.
It is located at 62-66 Ryrie Street – the location of the former Metropolis Gallery. I went to check out the work by Laura Alice and Jimi C. White but discovered many other interesting artists. It is well worth checking out.
