GPAC has now officially changed its name to the Geelong Arts Centre. The Ryrie Street entrance is looking close to finishing too.
I had been meaning to check out Boom Gallery for some time. It was close to where my parents live and I was keen to see some of Rachel Hines work. It was a very friendly space and felt like it was the main contributor to the vibe we got when exploring the precinct.
Big Boom is an extension of Boom Gallery, housing a vast gallery space for monthly exhibitions, dynamic stockroom, studios, an artist in residence space and workshop area.
I was very impressed with this space.
This space was pretty crowded so didn’t spend that long here.
