Recently, many of older the bus shelters in Norlane had been replaced with ones that had public artwork. I loved going past them in the bus or car.
Recently, the City of Greater Geelong announced that they had added a number of bus shelters with new artwork along Melbourne Road in Norlane. I think that is a great initiative, as I have a lot of ties to the northern suburbs.
I thought similar when they added beautiful artwork along many bus shelters in Corio. They were respected for quite a while. On a recent visit, however, I noticed that they – and nearby areas – had been targeted by graffiti. Fingers crossed the new shelters don’t fall victim to a similar fate.
Surprisingly, it can be a great place to do some people-watching.
