Pivot City is an 11 hectare waterfront district that is growing to house 50,000sqm of inspiring workspaces across 3 unique innovation Precincts.
You can read more about the project at the official website.
There area is split into three precincts:
- Federal Mills
- Glass House
- Power Station
Most of our photos are organized according to precinct. In the following post, we’ve combined images from the Federal Mills and the Glass House.
Pivot City Innovation District: December 2018
Federal Mills
Glenn and I frequently visit the area to visit both the markets and the Popcultcha collectors gallery. This has allowed us to get a lot of photos of the changes. The area is constantly changing and reinventing.
Glass House
The former Pilkington Glass Factory is a highly recognisable, steadfast reminder of Geelong’s industrial past. Almost 90 years after construction, Glass House is adding to Geelong’s rich fabric of innovation and industry by playing a key role in the Federal Mills & Pivot City innovation district.
Both the exterior and interior of the building are currently being redeveloped. I will be sharing photos of the progress.
Power Station
The Power Station development has been held up due to planning objections. Our previous photos are of the street art at the site.
